Broken strings - Part 2

 - A Carlos Pena Jr. story

“I looks like you’re my taxi driver,” you mumbled from the backseat.
“I am,” your mom chuckled and looked at you through the rearview mirror.
“Very funny. Mom I really don’t want to eat out. Everyone is going to look at me and then that stupid wheelchair.”

She parked the car in the handicapped parking spot -being cripple perk- and opened the door to the backseat.

“Don’t start nagging okay. We’re going to celebrate that you got out of the hospital.”

It was still struggling to get out of the car properly without looking like a weirdo -which obviously didn’t work-. Your mom didn’t seem to mind the fact that she had to push you into the restaurant, asking strangers if they could open the door or move a chair for you. It was so. awkward.

It took some time until you kind of settled down and didn’t feel embarassed by people looking and staring at you leg.

“Where are you going to work again?” you asked, poking a mushroom to the other side of your plate.
“I’m not untill you can stand on it.”
“Mom that’s going to take ages.”
“Yeah I know, it’s good for our quality time,” she smiled, obviously not minding that she had to take care of you for the next weeks.
“You should go back to work. I can take care of myself.”
“No you can’t,” she patiently said. “End of discussion.”

You smiled and took a sip of your drink.

“Thank you,” you said and leaned more towards her over the table. “I know I’ve been really moody lately, but I really appreciate everything you’ve done for me.”

She smiled and stroked your hand.

“I’m just doing what every mom would do,” she smiled.
“Yeah but you’re the best one ever.”

Somewhere during dessert you could see your mom was focusing on something else than you.

Carlos story - Broken strings

Tomorrow at 7PM (my time: UTC/GMT + 1) the second part of Broken Strings will be online!

Here’s a link to the first part in case you missed it! BROKEN STRINGS - PART 1

Lots of lovies!

The new video for ’ Like Nobody’s around’ which aired at the KCA’s last night!

truthofsong replied to your post: KCA’S
The problem is that if you look at the votes, big time rush should’ve won.
I know, I saw it too, but it’s not like they’re going to change it now. I just think that in the first place, they deserve way more credit for everything they do, it’s not only the award. The sad thing is that this just turned out to be another fan war because to be honest, if Maroon 5 or Bon Jovi would’ve won, we’d be upset too, but it wouldn’t be like this.

Big Time Rush - Like Nobody’s Around

KCA’S

Soooo you all probably know that we didn’t win last night. Neither did the boys or Carlos. I heard there’s a big fanwar going on between, of course, us Rushers and DIrectioners. I totally understand that we’re all mad and upset especially since they’re having this ‘We only voted last minute and still won’-attitude.

Still, you guys, stay classy. We know that BTR deserved that award more and we’re still the best fanarmy!

Lots of love!

From: Mom
Good luck sweetheart! I believe in you. Let me know when it’s over.

You closed the text message from your mom and took your bike out of the garage. Today was your last exam at college after studying fashion design. You were stoked to start majoring in Film and TV Costume design after spring break.

The sky was still a little rosy when you rode out of your street. You had slept in late last night because of all the stress you felt in your stomach. You had always been a big stress person and there was no way that would change. Designing and making clothes kind of took that daily stress away because it was a good way to get out the bad feelings. You went a little faster to get the nerves out and you’d be a little earlier at school and you’d have time to revise.

Just when you arrived at the end of the street, where you had to cross it, the little bike on the traffic lights went for red to green. The sound of a horn and the squealing breaks of your bike shot through your head. A sharp pain went through your upper leg before everything went black.
